The Tampa Bay Bike Co-Op
I am proud to sit on the board of directors of the Tampa Bay Bike Co-Op, a not-for-profit organization that that provides educational and physical resources for cyclists. We emphasize educating others on how to repair and maintain their bicycle as well as reusing and repairing old bicycles and parts donated by the community and returning them to those in need. As part of my contribution, I designed the logo for the organization. The tree represents how sharing your knowledge with one person can reach countless others through branching out. I am also the webmaster for our Web site.
Cyclocross Magazine
As a cyclist and a journalist, I was drawn to the upstart Cyclocross Magazine. Cyclocross is a sport that combines cycling off road with traversing mud and sand, often on foot. I have contributed several layouts and reviews to the magazine.
Missouri Photo Workshop
I was lucky enough to attend the 55th Missouri Photo Workshop in the summer of 2003. One of the best photojournalism bootcamps in the world, I learned more about storytelling in one week that I had in all my experience up to that point. You can see my work from that week here.
